VP of Finance

Our Story

Eteros’ founder Aaron McKellar started his career in the marine industry, owning and operating a boat repair and custom boat manufacturing business in Surrey, British Columbia. Over time his interests in manufacturing expanded outside the marine industry, and his belief in “reshoring” jobs back to Canada led him to found Eteros in 2016. Eteros began with a strong engineering foundation, focused on innovation and building superior quality products. Starting with a core group of expert engineers and mechanical designers from diverse backgrounds, it didn’t take long for Eteros’ slogan to become “Divergent Thinking”, as we strive to put a unique, outside-the-box spin on everything we do.

Aaron found a custom manufacturing partner in Ontario whose core values were very much in line with those of Eteros. In 2019, after a year and a half of working closely together, we merged to form a bigger and even more capable custom manufacturing firm with presence across Canada.  Recently, a US final assembly site has been established in Las Vegas, Nevada, and a US manufacturer based in California and Colorado was acquired.  The team is now over 60 people and has established itself as a market leader within its niche.

Philosophy

We are driven by innovation, creativity, and making the impossible a reality.

We love to surprise our customers with unexpected thoughtfulness in all our products.  Our marketers never have to lie or exaggerate; we require our products to be truly great.

We Reject Mediocrity

Our philosophy extends beyond product design.  From production to marketing to accounting, we strive to think outside the box regarding all aspects of our company.  Everyone at Eteros is expected to challenge existing procedures, suggest a better way, and drive it home.  Our open-door policy and our transparent, honest management style make being heard easy, not intimidating.  We don’t wear suits.  We dislike formalities.  We are not afraid to roll up our sleeves.

Our philosophy applies both internally and externally, as we exude the same values towards our customers and vendors.  We actively seek feedback and open dialogue to create sincere relationships and products that solve real problems.
