BIO

I was born and raised in Surrey, BC, as the oldest of three boys in a very Italian family. I spend more time watching movies than I like to admit and have a library of obscure movie references to show for it. Quentin Tarantino is always a good time on a slow day. After high school I completed my Exercise Science Diploma at Capilano University; I’m fascinated with the capabilities of the human body and I love helping people move better. With a few years of varied educational and work experience, it was time to start a new chapter. At that point I had found an opportunity to satisfy my overwhelming curiosity of “How Things Work” with an organization which embodies the same core values I do my best to uphold; Accountability, Grit, Ingenuity, Initiative, and Respect. Now, working with Eteros Technologies Inc., when I answer mamma’s “How was your day?” phone call, she won’t be able to come back with her classic nugget, “Idle hands are the Devil’s playthings… Busy hands will keep you out of trouble, Luca”.

Q&A

Do you have a favorite movie?
Hook, with Robin Williams as a grown-up Peter Pan and Dustin Hoffman as Captain Hook, will always be an all-time favourite of mine.
When are you the happiest?
When I’m coming down snow-capped mountains on my snowboard. That and almost any activities that involve a mountain, fresh air and friends.
What movie or novel character do you most identify with?
Captain America, for sure. I can’t stand bullies and I’ll always find a way to get up and keep going.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in the last year?
To sum up the big recurring themes from the past year: “Think less, do more and have fun!”
How do you think your coworkers see you?
Super Canadian, so lots of “Please’s”, “Thank you’s”, always up for laughs and good in cold weather conditions.
Do you have any hobbies?
I don’t know about a hobby, but maybe like a borderline addiction to jiu-jitsu; I have a thing for analyzing human movement and what the body is capable of, and jiu-jitsu constantly blows my mind.
